The Discreet Duo: The Stealthy French Lead - Hidden Prong

  • Sale
  • Regular price $55.00

Default layout (with embroidery) for this collar would be for a dog that heels on the left side. If your dog heels on the right side, leave a note!

The part that tightens is extra long to allow for super easy on and off, no struggling to get it over big heads, ears, or overly excited dogs!
Plus it could always double as a traffic handle if needed.

This lead can include links!

This item cannot be shipped WITH LINKS to Australia or New Zealand.

This collar is designed to be used with Genuine Herm Sprenger links (1.5mm, 2.25mm, 3mm SHORT, or 3mm REG only). It may not work with other brands of Prong collars

Thread colors are seemingly unlimited as most requests can be accommodated. Be specific if there is more than one color of thread you would like (and how you would like them used).

If you are wanting multiple lines of text divided a certain way, leave that in the "item notes" section.

All desired text should be listed in the "Embroidery Text" box.

Embroidery is done in all caps unless specifically requested lower case text (not just typing in lower case; leave a note with this customization in "item notes.")

Both 3mm options will stick out from the dog's neck and not be as "hidden" if the dog does not have the long, thick, and heavy coat needed to conceal the prongs.

I don’t recommend the regular 3mm link for collars smaller than 14” since there will be so few links.

----

Adding too many links to your collar can cause the collar not to be able to fit at all or not leave enough room for the martingale part of the collar to work effectively.

Adding too few links would cause a large part of the collar to be just the martingale and not leave much space for the links to be evenly distributed around the neck or to contact the dog's neck.

The number of links also can allow for more or less adjustability if the dog is growing/filling out, or if you’d be using the same collar for more than one dog.

-----

Regular prong collars and Hidden Prong Collars are constructed differently and your regular/current number of links will not be the same number of links you'd use on a Hidden Prong Collar.

How many links you use on a regular prong collar will be more than how many you would use on a hidden prong collar.
